About Us

As the original impetus for creating Warrington Cares(WC) in 2014 was to assist families in need within the Warrington Township community, this could be described as the organization's core. Since its inception, WC has provided over 30 families with assistance and continues to grow this part of its mission. Each year, WC donates $3,000 to $5,000 to local families within our community. 

 

Our purpose has grown to providing scholarships and supporting non-profits in the Township through our annual Sprint triathlon, raising the needed funding to expand our reach. 

 

WC helped over 20 students since beginning its Scholarship Awards program in 2014. These students attended college or institutions of higher learning across the tri-state region and beyond in fields of study, including government service, military service, software design, and more.  The WC Scholarship Award is given to students who volunteer in their community – from food banks to helping at hospitals and nursing homes and providing assistance to the blind.

WC focuses on non-profits in Warrington Township and the surrounding community, which support local efforts. To date, we have supported over 40 non-profits, including: food banks, elder care support, domestic violence, veterans, and breast cancer, just to name a few. Our donations range from $1,000 to $2,500 annually per entity.

 

The Triathlon is our primary fundraiser bringing athletes from all around the country to help raise funds for scholarships, non-profits, and local families-in-need. This fundraiser draws over 200 participants annually and raises upwards of $20,000.

Our efforts continue to help the local community and their families.
